HALO® Hybrid Fractional Laser

Most patients see optimal results from one to three sessions spaced four to six weeks apart. A single aggressive session may produce dramatic change but with longer recovery. Multiple moderate sessions produce comparable results with shorter downtime between treatments. Your provider builds a plan based on skin type and goals. 

CO2 lasers are fully ablative, delivering dramatic results with ten to fourteen days of downtime. HALO® combines ablative and non-ablative wavelengths in one session, producing meaningful improvement with three to seven days of social downtime. CO2 often achieves dramatic improvement in a single session, while HALO® may require one to three sessions depending on treatment intensity and patient goals. 

HALO® has clinical evidence supporting safe use in Fitzpatrick skin types I-IV. Patients with Fitzpatrick V-VI face elevated risk of pigmentation changes and are typically guided toward alternative treatments such as non-ablative fractional resurfacing or radiofrequency microneedling. Your provider screens by skin type before recommending HALO®. 

Results can last twelve to eighteen months or longer with consistent sun protection and quality skincare. Collagen remodeling continues for months after treatment, so improvements often build over time. Most patients schedule maintenance every twelve to twenty-four months to preserve outcomes. 

Patients with active skin infections, recent isotretinoin use, certain autoimmune conditions, history of keloids, current pregnancy or breastfeeding, or very dark Fitzpatrick skin types are typically not candidates. A thorough consultation determines safe eligibility for each patient’s specific skin and concerns.
